Total Number of Posts
Well I am bit of a stats junkie. On computerforum.com, I like to follow the total number of posts from time to time. I would also like to keep track of how many posts have been made here at TechZine.com as well. So in the right hand sidebar, I just implemented a little counter, which states the Total Number of Posts, it should say 6 after this is posted.
Also in keeping with what is happening at computerforum.com, further down the line, I plan on implementing a blogger leaderboard which will list the top ten bloggers on the sidebar of every page. So far, mep916 is the only person to have submitted a blog post.
Does your power supply have enough juice?
An often overlooked component, the power supply (PSU) happens to be critical to the operation of your PC. When building a new rig, or looking to upgrade the video card (GPU) in your current machine, it’s important to know whether or not your power supply will adequately support each individual piece of hardware. Ceewi1, Moderator and Computer Security expert at Computer Forum, has compiled several easy to use guides that will help you determine whether or not a PSU upgrade is necessary. His Good and Bad list (not all power supplies are created equal), coupled with the Rebranding Guide, will help you determine a quality unit from a poorly manufactured unit. If you want to save yourself some time, read his PSU Recommendations list.
If you’re in the market for a new video card, but unsure if your current PSU provides enough juice, refer to our Power Recommendations by Video Card thread. It’s open, so if you have any questions, feel free to submit a post.

Female Gamers
I was reading the following article by a well known Australian Newspaper.
One very interesting statistic stated was that females make up 46% of the online gaming population. I believe the figure quoted may apply only to Australia, but Australia is a lot like the USA. So what do you think?
1. Do females really make up 46% of the gaming population
2. If so, what games do you think they play?

Christmas Presents
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, all I got was cash, but then I bought my own presents a couple of weeks before Christmas.
I just read through all 15 pages of this thread to see what fellow CF members got, looks like Santa bought mep916 what he wanted.
But the coolest christmas present ever, that I saw anyone get was this present Shoemoney received from Intel.
Full details on exactly what he received can be found here. Hey, I am a fan of Intel as well, computerforum.com has over 1,000,000 posts and they have not send me even a free mousepad. That monitor he got in the photo is the exact same one I want to buy next. the samsung T240R. I am a big Samsung fan, I recently bought a 32″ Full HD LCD Samsung Series 6 TV that was excellent, but the 22″ 2243BW monitor I bought, I was extremely disappointed in.
Best Buy Drive Through
This would have to be the ultimate service for people who like to avoid human contact at all costs. If you can get your food at a drive through, it would be awesome to pick up your gadgets in the same way and have somebody load it into your car. I very rarely order online for home delivery, as I am usually never at home to receive the goods. This would be awesome if they had a 24 hour pick up service for all us gadget freaks who also happen to be night owls as well, yes I do fall into that category.
Although, I don’t think curbside pickup would suit me, as I always bargain on the price for all my major tech purchases, after finding the cheapest online price. This looks like a trial service, more details can be found here. I first read about this over at crunchgear.
TechZine – Technology Magazine
Well my friends at ComputerForum.com have been asking for a tech news/product reviews type area for quite some time now. The most recent discussion was here, where a poll was created about whether we should release our own magazine. Apart from the massive resources that would require, well quite frankly, print media is on the way out. By the time something appears in a print magazine, it is already old news, it has been discussed in technology blogs well in advance. TechZine is short for Technology Magazine, it will focus on all tech gadgets with a particular emphasis towards computers. There will be no blog comments, instead each post will link to a thread at computerforum.com where the details of the blog post can be discussed at length in the forum.
I would like to point out that this is not meant to be some highly professional technology news site, unlike other sites out there, this will remain a fairly casual, informal type blog, by the members of computerforum.com and for the members of computerforum.com So any members who would like to contribute with a post, are more than welcome to, but whether they appear on this site will be subject to the approval of the techzine blog administrators, of who I obviously will be one. Somebody gets a new game or gadget and wants to review it, and get a high profile exposure to your fellow members, your posts are welcome.
